$268 not cheap enough for you? That’s the price Amazon is charging for the Asus Eee PC 901 after a $100 mail-in rebate. But ZipZoomFly is offering the netbook for nearly $20 cheaper, which means you can pick up an Eee PC 901 for just $250 after rebate.
There are a few differences between the two machines. The Amazon model runs Windows XP and has a 12GB solid state disk. The ZipZoomFly version runs Linux and has a 20GB SSD. But if you’re happy with Linux or plan to install your own operating system anyway, the ZipZoomFly offer is a pretty amazing deal. The rebate is good on purchases made through March 8, 2009.
The netbook has an 8.9 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, a 1.3MP webcam, and 802.11b/g/ WiFi. It weighs 2.4 pounds, measures about 8.9″ x 6.9″ x 1.5″ and ships with a 6 cell battery.
